Our Story
At the age of 21, a friend asked me about teaching piano to two of her children. That studio grew over the next few years until I had 43 students. We moved and I paused teaching for a few years. Same thing happened again, and I started teaching piano and voice. After 30 years, I guess you could say, I am a music teacher. I love music, and I love sharing the love and passion I have for music with my students whether they are 5 or 70 years old.
Our Teaching Style
My philosophy is that music should be fun. I work with students the way they learn. Some are auditory learners. Some are visual learners. We all have styles of music we love, so that is a good place to start. I then encourage my students to open themselves up to many genre's as we work together.
Competitions & Recitals
I offer my students the opportunity to compete in the Federation of Music for my Florida students. We have two recitals each year: a holiday recital and a spring recital. These are optional events and up to each student should they want to participate.
